    For some reason

eBay loaded just fine as did microsoft.com, and google. All seemed to load slightly faster than IE7. That's strictly from my machine, others may see slower loads or problems. I liked Opera the best, but that's just me.

A researcher has already hacked IE 8. It took him just two minutes at the PWN2OWN contest. Details have been disclosed to Microsoft. But Microsoft refuses to confirm the vulnerability.

Wait a minute . . . You mean that Nils had months beforehand to find a hole and prepare his exploit, then just set it up and ran it when the "contest" began?

Anyone know the definition for "rigged" to get "headlines?" I am not an IE fan at all, but all browsers were rigged like this.

These are basically good guys who hunt for weeks to months for exploits, save the exploits for the contest and then "win" in a few seconds to a minute or two. Then they get credit by telling the browser developers and or virus protection companies where the "exploit" is on the specific browser.

        Rant!!!

Will I tried IE8 and it has draw-backs. One and the most important, to me anyway, is that it causes web videos to be chopped, then when it picks up playing again, you lose the scenes between the chops. And loading of the pages at websites is slower. So I thought will, just reload IE7. Don't work that way; M$ programs will not allow you to install an earlier version of IE. Linux on the other machine and if it wasn't for MagicJack, I'd have it on this machine too! My .02 cents worth: don't install IE8 if you're running XP w/SP3.

My wife's website is a simple one, as these things go. The only problems I had developing it were all with IE. Firefox, Safari and Chrome all displayed the pages as I intended them to.
