                      But anyway, just for reference looks like Port Douglas is about 2000 miles from Melbourne. Not exactly Rod's backyard.

                                          so on the map, port douglas looks like its way out on a peninsula.
                                          Sort of like Provincetown, Mass. Is it a den of hedonism like P-town, too?
                                          P-town is known for bars, nightlife, open lifestyles, gay lifestyles, anything goes, no chain stores/restaurants allowed, lots of artists, galleries etc.
                                          Au-natural clubs would fit right in.
