    What's Your Pleasure?

Mine is a gin and tonic. Celebrating the delivery of the beta release candidate for the assessment report I've been working on. Will get the comments back tomorrow, roll them in and should have it put to bed 4 days early. It is due next Monday.

Famous Grouse (scotch) over two ice cubes. If I can get a single malt, I only use one ice cube. Mind you, it's only two fingers deep-index and pinkie

Wine or beer. I don't have a real preference as to type or brand, I just like good wine or beer. Tonight I made some salmon burgers with sauteed mushrooms and onions along with some pasta on the side and it seemed like a Muscat Canelli night. Last night was Bell's Double Cream Stout Ale. The night before was a Dry Reisling. Hmmmm, I seem to be getting away from my "big reds".

The fact of the matter is, I just like alcohol!

Give me a Guinness. Since I drink maybe three beers a year, I might as well get something I can chew.

Used to drink Scotch/Soda, but over the last few years have been doing Gin/Tonic. I have a beer maybe 1 per year. Occassionally, some wine at dinner.

I'm not a beer or wine guy. I will only drink those to be social at work/other functions where there are no other (soda, water, etc.) alternatives.

I'm afraid I'm also rather low-brow on my coctails... I like rum or vodka with more or less any fruit/veggie juice, whiskey-sour, or tequila straight up.

Clear beverages are for the warmer months (July and August here in WI). Then it's a Tanqueray Rangpur Lime and tonic or a regular Tangueray martini. Or a Weissbier.

During the colder months (the rest of the year) darker beverages are advisable, either Wild Turkey or my favorite Russell's Reserve bourbon or a good brandy. I drink a fair amount of locally brewed oatmeal stout.

Lately I've been reacquainting myself with Schlitz, which is a pretty decent brew and IMO can be drunk anytime.

4 days early deserves a pat on the back, only thing is next project they will expect early and complain when it's not. Remember, hard work is payed off with more work.

Lately it's been Diet Sunkist Orange, on occasion Yukon Jack.

Most of the time it's Cutty Sark over ice but a couple times a year I splurge on a bottle of good single malt.
