    Dream Bike

We have a lot of riders and former riders on the forum. We all have our prefered type of bikes and reasons for riding.

If you could have any motorcycle you wanted, what would it be?

For me it would be an '07 Harley-Davidson Patriot Edition Electra-Glide Ultra Classic with a Marine Corps tank badge.

If you are not familiar with the Patriot Editions, H-D offered most of the line in '07 in black with a US flag on the rear fender and the service emblem of your choice on the top of the tank. To buy one, you had to be active duty or have proof that you had served and were honorably discharged!

    Here's my dream bike.

I think this is probably not the type of bike you had in mind, but it's a sweet ride. (I didn't take it, BTW!)

But, if I were gonna get a motorized bike, this would be one of my favorites:

I use a bike to commute to work year round. For the warmer months I want something that adds fun to the long ride in to the office (I have an old touring bike for cold weather). I would love to have a supermotard type bike, e.g., a KTM Duke http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload...mages/duke.jpg

As a former rider, (last two bikes Harley Electra-Glide Ultra Classics), I had definitely checked the Patriot out in the Air Force coloration. Nice, but those days are unfortunately just memories -- nice ones, but memories.

I've never had a Harley and would like to try one. They have rentals here. But my choice for real cruising is a Gold Wing.

Ducati Monster. I actually prefer the styling previous to the last change.

Another Ducati fan here. My choice would be the now-discontinued Sport 1000 Biposto:

I'd have to paint it red, of course. And in a pinch, I'd settle for a Monster.

I'd also like a nice 70's Japanese cafe conversion. That would be my ride when the Duck (Duc?) is disassembled.

I dream of a ducati that's not a maintenance nightmare for someone who rides a lot... Seriously, I like the looks of the new streetfighter.

I'd probably have a Norton Commando 961 SS.
