to keep cool, and the only way to do that is by NOT doing the hanky panky!! lol We in the Florida state don't have it as bad as the northern folks do. Some areas are being hit with ice storms from what I've gathered late last night. Burrr
Anyway, you guys downunder try to cool off some way or other and if ya can, send some of that heat up to our northern friends.

The cold stuff slid down to Texas again yesterday, I went to get in the truck at 6:00 this morning and had to let it warm up and defrost the windshield before I could move...

I don't own an ice scraper... Not even sure where I could buy one.

And if you want to talk about hot, how humid is it? I know I would MUCH rather be in the mountains in Arizona at 15 degrees F and 20% RH than in League City, Texas at 35 degrees F and 70% RH. Likewise I would MUCH rather be in Phoenix, okay Tucson at 115 deg F and 20% RH than in League City at 90 deg F and 70% RH. That humidity is what makes you "feel it" more. Hot just feels hotter, cold just feels colder.

dbhost is correct! The hottest I have ever been was in Houston. We were there on a Memorial Day weekend for a tournament. I rained every day, water was standing on the field Rh was about 95% with matching temps. It was absolutely brutal. Worse than 52C in Dubai (Rh about 0)!

I feel your pain!

When it gets above 80 here things seem pretty horrible. Of course, the trade off is two weeks straight of below-zero temperatures during the winter.

I lived in Tucson Arizona for 5 years. Daytime highs in the summer would get to 115-117 deg F... I would MUCH rather deal with that than a mid 90s Houston summer...

I guess y'all aren't used to heat like this though huh?
