Your memory isn't over taxed according to the screen shot you posted. How many tabs/windows were open at the time? I don't think you need more memory unless your doing some heavier computing.
As far as processes, I'd personally disable jushed.exe, JQS.exe, acrotray.exe and googleupdate.exe. But that's just me and I'm pretty strict. They are helper/updater apps that are pretty useless if you don't mind checking for updates occasionally, other than that the list looks pretty trim and probably not where you need to be looking.
I see you have adaware loaded, it has a module in the tools section that should give you more options than MSconfig.
Make sure you have SP3 and the version of FF is 3.05 - There were memory leaks fixed from earlier versions. FF2 was awful until the last releases.
I'd suggest running two scans. "Superantispyware" free edition (sounds hokey, but it's pretty good) and the MS OneCare free online scan. Between these 2 I've had great luck lately cleaning up well hidden messes. Make sure that nothing has hooked itself into FF (it wouldn't show up in Task Manager)
