Yeah, I do... It was more TOH than NYW, but I liked it. It ran on my local PBS channel, back in pre-cable days. We only got 4 channels then...

I remember it. I can't remember it being on PBS tho. That and the Shopsmith Mark V ads were about all there was at the time.
Sometimes the old man passed out and left the am radio on so I got to hear the oldie songs and current event kind of things

It was the local "educational" channel (channel #24 UHF). It's a PBS channel now, but I don't think it was part of the PBS network back then...

I recall seeing a series where a guy and his "make-believe" wife built a log cabin. In the later series, he had a different "wife," called Robin, I think, but I can't remember any more and couldn't find them on-line. The show's logo had tools in it, the women wore toolbelts and spent a lot of time up stepladders, but I just can't remember the name of the show.

          Ray.

That's OK, Ray. If there were women in toolbelts on stepladders, I wouldn't be able to remember my own name...

Ray, rest easy, here's the "poop" on "Robin".

That show debuted in 1972. Meaning I was just out of diapers... So no I don't recall it...

I like this show better than NYW, TOH, or Hometime. This guy has some skills.

I like that show better than NYW as well. I honestly like Marc Spagnulo's The Wood Whisperer best... He brings it to a level that even a knot head like me can understand it... Don't get me wrong. I love NYW, but Nahm relies on mega bucks equipment that many of us will most likely never have the budget to own. Marc shows you how to do what you need to do without spending the fat bank on that new 12" jointer you know?

I mean really. How many guys have a couple of Unisaws, a 12" jointer, a 22" planer etc... in their home workshop?

Of course it's Nahm's fault I own a biscuit joiner, and I really do like it. And I have learned some really cool techniques from him... Not all of which I have been successful at using quite yet, but I am getting there...

I used to enjoy that show but it hasn't been on here for quite some time. I remember seeing him cut himself pretty badly once and he just wrapped it in a rag and kept going. As the show progressed you could see the rag starting to get really saturated with blood. LOML was REAL impressed with that...

I'll second the vote on Marc's show, The Wood Whisperer. Drama, comedy, a host that doesn't take himself too seriously... and a little woodworking too.

Hometime is still showing in the Twin Cities. Overall, a pretty good show, but not great indepth woodworking. More of a home remodeling type.
