I know that Canadian air is rough, but you really ought to try a ski mask instead.

        Manual.

I guess a follow-up to manual would be "straight razor, safety razor, or scary-sharp chisel?"

Lately I'm liking the Gillette Fusion...

I shave my face and head with a manual. The electrics shave closer for me but I can't skip a day if I use electric, they only seem to do a good job if the hair is already short (wife bought me a braun a couple christmases ago).

                Manual

This is the one thing I prefer manual over electric.

Shaving every day, I am fine with my Norelco electric. If I miss more then one day, I go back to my safety razors; either smooth, or bearded style, depending.

I did once try to shave with an old family straight razor, but it hadn't been sharpened in forever (thankfully), because as is, it cut the **** out of me.

Now, you manual shavers, can, bar, or cup of soap and a brush?
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

I simply cannot find an electric razor that gives anywhere near as clean of a shave as a blade, I use a blade, and am in no hurry to change over...

FWIW I own 3 electric razors. I bought one, my parents gave me one a few years ago for Christmas, and my wife bought me one thinking I would like it. The one my wife bought, a nice high end Remmington wet shaver is actually pretty decent... But not enough to make me use an electric...

I use both. If I'm getting all cleaned up, I use the manual. If I'm doing work around the house or on the apartments, I use the electric. Electric not as close, but quick and look presentable. Don't think I would use the electric on an everyday basis.

Whenever I use an electric, it always seems to me that they should instead call it a "power plucker"...

I use a Gillette manual 2 bladed, pivoting disposable razor. I actually like the single bladed ones better, but they no longer seem to stock them at my local store.

I will use each razor only once and then I pitch it, which I admit seems somewhat wasteful. However, with a new razor I might cut myself once or twice per year. Try to stretch it to 3 days or a week per blade and that number would go up to once every couple weeks and even when I don't cut myself my skin ends up rather irritated.

I use both. I use a manual when I want the very best but an electric followed up with a manual to trim is quicker.

An electric razor takes a while to get used to. It can take a month before it is working as well as it is going to.
