Usually Christmas Eve we go to my parents house where my parents make a pot of home made Chili. This year they decided to make some stew instead as there was only my parents, grandparents and our family this year. It was nice to have the smaller amount of people in my parents small house. Christmas day we had the traditional turkey and potatoes and sweet potatoes, and the whole nine yards. As we had about 40 or so people at our dinner. We had family and close friends and my boss and her family came over and each of us brought something.

We had a great day and nice relaxing evening when we got home. And the kids are happy with what they got and that makes me happy about the day.

Christmas Eve is the Birthday of my BIL and my Niece. The tradition for Ben's birthday party is Bolagna and Cheese Sandwichs and Pecan Pie for Desert. This year we in invited my Niece and her family and it was a great time. A fruit salad a Patatoe Salad, Deli Sliced Bolagna and Cheese (american and swiss) and Apple or Pecan Pie for desert. Lot of fun trying decide Red or White wine. Christmas day was the traditional dinner with some Sweedish Smorgasboard thrown in. Great time.

        .
I always have made it without the meat. The meat is Italian Sausage and is placed around the edge at my place. I don't much care for a meat sauce and only make a nice tomato sauce. We have been making this for about 38+ years I think.

You have to get him some Smoked Boloney sometime. We have it at a Boating Rally I go to and it is like nothing else you have ever had. Big slice with Mayo is awesome good.
