If we can build a fence across the Mexico border to keep illegals out why cant we build a fence across the Canadian border to keep the cold out?

My friend in Post Fall Idaho sent me a link to their TV Station out of Spokane, they were talking -34 as a low tonight I think or tomorrow. Supposed to get into the 20's here tonight. Thank god for shop heat. Looks like I might get to finially turn a couple of pens. Gave the idea of pen and bottle stopper for christmas presents this year just to many things going one and can't find the time. What bad is I am retired and I am not supposed to be this busy. So maybe tomorrow after Christmas shopping and shipping the presents to Idaho for the grandkids.
Whaler that was great! I needed the chuckle! i hate Ohio and cold, but i know there are much colder places!! question is, does the southern fence work any better?
Dick at the time of this post I had to go and buy some milk a half hour before and the temp in the car said it was 11 degrees outside and it is snowing over here. Enough snow that when I got back my tracks were covered on the sidewalk. But last night when I got done bowling at about 930 or so the temp was only about 6 out, our high here yesterday was 11 IIRC.
Heck, if we can build a fence to keep Canadian cold fronts out then can we build a fence to keep Gulf of Mexico humid air from mucking up Houston and the Gulf Coast? We'd get a 9-month benefit here for a humidity fence instead of a few days a year up North for the cold fence.
