I thought the max was 15 years + 12 mo. (consecutive sentences), and a minimum of 6 years before being eligible for parole.

I have to admit though that I watched the sentencing and was adding it in my head, I could be wrong.

The first computation of the concurrent and consecutive years totaled 15 years, with a 6 year minimum, then Tru TV said 30 years, with a 7 1/2 minimum. So, it may be made clear soon.

Of course he will. But this judge also ruled that he can't post bond while he's waiting on an appeal, so he's in the clink for the duration...

I think the judge is trying to give him the sentence he should have gotten 13 years ago. I am not sure it will hold up on appeal though.

He received 33yrs and is eligible for parole in 9.

Actually, the judge made a point of saying that wasn't the case, and I believe her. I mean, the guy went to 'see' this guy with 2 goons and pistols; sounds like a little bit more than a social call, don't ya think?
If I had been down the road he's been down, I wouldn't sneeze in public. He, on the other hand, thought it was perfectly ok to go jack somebody up. Go figure.

What blew my mind was OJ's statement during sentencing that "he didn't know what he was doing was illegal". What adult would not understand that breaking into a hotel room and threatening people with a gun was illegal, even if the goal was to "get your stuff back"?

I agree with Bruce, that is after, they take the sob out and hang him by the neck until dead first! He never got what was coming to him for killing his wife and Ron Goldman several years ago!
