Yeah, its funny in a way; the little boo-boo's usually hurt more than big ones?I've got a nice 1/8th" stab hole in my thumb by using a screw driver the wrong way. All the while my brain is saying, "If you continue like that you are going to get hurt!" Why don't we listen I wonder. Hope your scrape heals soon.

Sorry to hear that Richard, but glad to hear that it could have been a whole lot worse. This gets me thinking how many times I've done things that at the time I didn't think it was dangerous, but it could have turned real ugly, real fast.

Hope your little accident has us thinking more about our own safety.

York or standard pitch? .... Just kidding of course. The worse cut I have ever had over too much time is instinctively catching a sharp chisel that I bumped off a work-bench. I finished the task as the gauge and duct tape held pretty well until done and I drove off to my local health care provider for a few stitches.

That's what I thought, too. I have a pretty vivid imagination, and every time I turn on my planer I can imagine my arm being drawn slooooowly in and thickness planed. I stand back at least 10 feet when I use it, which means I'm outside...

Hope you feel better real soon....

Maybe we should preserve the shaving and my sliced off thumb end and some other bits of skin and open a "How I Hurt Myself" museum...
