    Planed My Hand

And it wasn't fun. I was trying to clean up some small pieces with my block plane by holding the plane in one hand and the piece in the other. Then I planed my hand and it wasn't fun

Yikes, speedy recovery Rich. If it wasnt too gory, show us some pics. A good reminder to respect our tools and if it doesnt feel right, dont do it.

How many swipes did you take?

              Just kidding.

              Hope it heals quickly.

Mainly took a chunk of skin from the base of my thumb. I was surprised that there was hardly any blood at all. I guess it was a benefit that 1) it was only a block plane, 2) the blade was sharp enough to make a very clean cut, and 3) it wasn't a power tool. Mostly it just wasn't fun.

I just held a rag on it until the blood stopped then carried on. I'm sure by tomorrow it won't even be a conversation starter. Thanks for thinking of me guys.

I hope your pride was hurt more than your hand! Take care and get healed up quickly!

That was good. Today it looks nothing worse than a really bad scratch. Says a lot for sharp blades I guess.
