    More, less, or the same?

How much are you spending this season compared to last year? We always buy for some less fortunate kids, so they can enjoy Christmas too. We'll probably spend about the same this year as last.

About the same for others, but definitely less on myself...

Less. LOML and I are both 60. Decided buying each other lots of gifts that neither needs, and wanting to save even more for retirement, we'd limit it to $300 each. And that is a LOT less than previous years.

Still got the kids and grandkids though. That probably will be about the same.

I am spending about the same, if you don't count the van as a Christmas gift. I am just buying less stuff.

Less for the Adults and probably more for the Grandkids, they have gotten older and their stuff cost more. Some of the adult members of the family have run into some Economic hard times and have suggested we do things different this year. That is fine with me I don't need or want much. Having a nice dinner with the family is all I need. May be a nice picture of the 3 Grandkids in Idaho.

I've been trying to tell my kids that for years. It doesn't work. I'll wind up with a few things I won't use. I'd rather they bought something for the less fortunate kids around.

I am spending about the same on family (only parents and nieces and nephews), and more on me. I've been wanting a laptop for some time, as well as an eeePC or competitor. I found a happy medium.

Now I am asking for much less (one item) and trying to clean out the shop and house of extra junk.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Probably about the same or slightly more. One more grandkid this year.

LOML and I don't exchange gifts. We'll be spending the money on gifts for Toys for Tots and a couple of other organizations.

LOML and I didn't do a gift exchange last year as we were busy honeymooning in San Antonio after a specific online travel agent messed up our plans...

This year we are taking that trip. So...

Wedding and San Antonio honeymoon right on the riverwalk with a view one side of the riverwalk, the other to the Alamo, or the cost of taking that Carribean vacation this year?

Definately less money this year, but still more than I want to admit...

No kids of our own to buy for, and WAY too many nieces and nephews to buy for...

And to top it off, we are busting our tails to get out of debt at the same time... Not a fun feeling.

As far as charitable giving goes, LOML and I do the Angel Tree, and Operation Christmas Child both. I have worked with both of those organizations for years.
