Just watched it again... Every part of his brain was probably saying, "WTF are you DOING?!?!" -- a genuine body-over-mind experience... probably like bungee jumping. (Although at least in bungee jumping you don't slow to a halt in 1/1000 second!)

It reminds me of talking to the guy who started Rokenbok a while back. He said the little balls they made were choke-proof. I asked him how he knew that, and he said he inhaled one just to be sure.

Given the limited number he has sold, it almost seems as if he should give a camcorder away with each on to be trained on the machine while it's in use. I believe they have at least a half a dozen cases of people saying it saved their digits. As impressive as that was, a real time incident would be a lot more so. Except that it would inspire stupid people to try stupid things, I would say even offer a sizeable reward for the first 'really good' (really bad?) video.
My gut is that you would have more damage in a real incident, but I still wouldn't do that for all the tea in China, as they say.

That was really impressive, but it's hard to believe he didn't have even a mark on his finger if it actually touched the blade. I think gjat got it right. Even so, if you're gonna stick your finger into a moving blade, you'll likely wish it was on a SawStop.
