New toy I can't use til next May or so

It's a 2006 Trek 1000 road bike. I've been trolling Craigslist for a few months and finally found a starving college student who needed the money.

It has been barely used; paint job is awesome. It already has pedal clips (shoes are my size) and a trip computer. This will come in handy for staying fit and fighting the flab. I hear that girls like guys with nice legs...

Unfortunately, with snow on the ground I doubt I'll be riding it 'til next May at the earliest.

    Beautiful bike.

But my shop is located next to a bike shop. And real bikers ride year 'round. Rain. Snow. Sleet. They ride.

    Now get out there.

        Very Cool

Sure is a nice road bike. I want to start riding mine again. As an effort to get back into shape I dug out my 20 year old Mountain Bike and started riding again. Way to many years in between rides. I seem to remember going faster than my legs will go now. I think it will be awhile till I start on the road bike. It is embarrassing to be riding a road bike and have skate boarders pass you

I guess I still have a good memory

Can't you put runners on it?

Truth is girls like guys with legs. By the time they get a good look at 'em it won't matter if they are nice or not.

                .

You get a much better view, riding BEHIND the girls, then ahead of them!

Great find, Jeff! Don't wait...put some snow tires on that thing.

I need to get my '94' Trek 550 road bike on the road again. Been idle for too long.

Great find Jeff! You're obviously a lot more flexible than me judging by that setup. Don't be afraid to take it out when the roads are clear. Surely they aren't always covered in snow?

Yeah, I seem to recall running smoothe into the side of a Volkswagen bus due to that particular view when I was 14...

Nice looking bike. I am hoping that my husband will think about getting me a mountain type bike with either a trailer or a seat on the back for Thomas because I would like to get out and ride this spring and summer with the kids to get some exercise. Walking and things like that have been hurting my knees and things so maybe he will read this and get the hint.
