    Having just lost my dad, I know how you are feeling right now. You have my deepest sympathy. Dad was buried with full militay honors too. For me, the 21 gun salute and the playing of Taps, really helped me. I hope you and your family find comfort in it too.

      Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers,
      It has been a long week.The funeral was today.We had to wait on family and I think the extra time gave everyone a chance to really come to terms with his death and say goodbye.
      He had a very moving service everyone was doing pretty good until my daughter gave his eulogy, then there wasnt a dry eye in the church.She gave the man's essence, talked about her relationship with him and also about her loss. It is strange feeling your child's pain and being so very proud of them at the same time.I can't explain the mix of emotions well enough with words.I was also very proud of my son he asked to be a pallbearer and held up well
      The Air Force honor guard did a great job with the military honors.The playing of taps at a funeral is always powerful.
