    The look is effective

First thing this morning, I began raking leaves again. My wife asked me to lay the landscaping blocks we have. She wants them around a place I dug out a few weeks ago for tulips and a rose bush. I told her I would do it as soon as I finished what I was doing. She said "Yeah, O.K.". But the look I got was saying "I heard that before". Knowing that I correctly interpreted the look, and knowing what it said was probably correct, I finished the leaves, and I actually laid the blocks! Have you seen the look?

I have seen that look before and will see it again. If They are going to use it they

should at least say something nice when it's done. Bill

Any male over the age of 3 KNOWS that look

And any male over the age of 4 knows he ignores it his own peril

You guys are whipped! Right along with me. It's actually a survival instinct in some of us I think. Much akin to the Black Widow spider aspect of it.

One of my co-workers has a shirt that says:

"I married my wife for her looks...

just not the ones I'm getting lately!"

All right, breaks over. Back on your heads!

It is a female thing. I have gotten the look from LOML, my 4 1/2 year old grandaughter, 5year old grandaughter and our dog Rose. It is something they are born with not a learned behavior.

Fortunately I have learned to anticipate "THE LOOK" and now able to shield my eyes before any permanent damage can be done.

I've gotten that look more times than I can remember. The one I love is when you ask if something is wrong, and you get the "NOTHING" comment

I have the "LOOK" T-Shirt, and also acquired selective deafness, which helps a heck of a lot.

28 years and she hasn't killed me yet, although, I did make the mistake of teaching her to shoot a .45. And she;s pretty darn good, too.

She scares me when she reminds me that i'm worth more "Dead than Alive".

                      Happy marriage one and all!

my wife, and most of her family, and now my little girl has the "honyecutt stare" which can wither steel at 20 yards. It's a bit more than the eat $#!t and die stare that we all get from time to time, this is an "Im killing you with beams from my eyes" sort of stare that can only be pulled off from those with dark brown eyes...

Light blue eyes don't quite carry the same weight... but they can be just as dangerous on the other side of the coin. My boy has already put his "stare" to good use on almost every female he has run across with the exception of my daughter who is apparently immune to his charms...

William, now one, got mywife good one evening with just a glance, I was putting him down for bed, and he caugh Julia out of the corner of her eye with the stare, she played with him for another 30 minutes before I could convince her that A. she had been had, and B. the boy really did need to get to sleep. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on ol' william...

I get "the-look" everytime I mention buying another tool or another helicopter. I got "the-look-cubed" the other day when I mention buying a turbine powered helicopter!

It wasn't pretty or for the faint of heart!

Every so often I get "the look" from my students. Fortunately the "teacher stare" counteracts the student-level "look."

"The Look" from LOML, however, still has power. LOTS of power. I can see it even when she's inside and I'm in the Man Cave.
