    Back from "candyland"

My woodworking partner and I just got back last night from our annual trip to GriZZly at Muncy, PA. WOW-WOW What a place! Since we went a year ago last April they have added a 400k+ warehouse to their complex, filled with 7 tiers high of tools. We went with the basic idea of checking out cabinet saws. Decided on a left tilt, 10" with extended rails and a ShopFox fence (simular to the Bessie fence but MUCH cheaper). This trip is our "get out of Dodge" for at least an overnighter; chance to touch and see all the goodies, have a nice supper and just chill out. Well worth the 351 miles each way. If I can ever figure out how I will post pics when we have it together. Worked on it all today (Sunday) so have it about 90% done. Its a bueaty!

About 10 years ago I got a chance to spend a day at the Springfield Grizzly. What a great place! I was there for over six hours and nobody asked me to leave, why I was hanging around so long, etc. Any time I had a question, the nearest employee was willing to help me out.

I've been wanting to go back ever since, but LOML won't let me take the Suburban. I guess she's afraid of what will be in the back when I get home.

We drove right by Springfield on the way to and fro Chicago. Unfortunately the LOML could not find Grizzly listing in her GPS. So we just had to keep going.

Did you just take her word for this or did you check the GPS yourself.

I was driving and she looked, I couldn't get her to trade.

Just spent a couple of hours today finishing up putting it together and doing the initial alignments. Thought maybe we would call it; "THE SAW" to paraphrase Monty Python's Flying Circus's bit where they kept showing a tree and only said; "The Larch!" LOL! Maybe tomorrow we will make some sawdust to check it out..after voting that is. Until I can get some pic's its the G1023SLX with 7' ext. table, plus we got a Board Buddy. Sweet-sweet!
