Drag the ball over to the side of the square and when your pointer leaves the ball will be pinned and just hang there. Then move your pointer down and back onto the square over the ball, then click. You have to be fast though - as soon as you move your pointer back over the square the ball will fall.

Thanks for the instructions on how to cheat. It took me a couple of times trying and then I got the hang of it.

That's an easier way to cheat Mark! This reminds me of the 'Kobayashi Maru' test from Star Trek - the one Kirk reprograms the simulator on because he says he doesn't beleive in no-win situations.
