    More Sequim HD

We bought a new Maytag kitchen range last week and after it was in a couple days we found things we didn't like but could put up with.
Saturday night our refrigerator decided to quit so Sunday we went back to HD to shop for a new one. We found an LG that we liked and mentioned to the salesman our dislike of the range. He said we could return it but HD wouldn't pick it up but he and a friend would take care of it. We then bought an LG range.
Today I went in to confirm delivery of the new appliances and was told there would be a 15% restocking charge on the Maytag since it was a special order.
I was able to get that waived and mentioned that I couldn't get it back by myself. The customer service lady said "possibly I can help" and called delivery. That was at 11 am and the truck was here at 12:30 for a free pick up.
I am amazed at the great customer service at this store.

I'm real happy for you, Dick. It's nice to hear good news once in a while.

That's a great testimony, Dick. I wish HD was able to "deliver" that level of service at every location, but sadly, it doesn't happen. It still comes down to the people, and it sounds like you found some good eggs...

I ran around my HD this morning for better part of 45 minutes trying to find SOMEBODY with the key to the router bit cabinet. I finally gave up in frustration.

To be fair, this particular HD is in Seabrook Texas, and most of the staff that had been working there is occupied with trying to figure out where to live now after Ike.

It amazes me how slowly we are getting back to normal. It's been over a month since the storm hit, my insurance adjuster was just out this past Friday.

Dick, glad you have good customer service there. Here it is spotty. The store closest to me is generally pretty good. The one in Durham is not as good.
