I Was Going To Have a Bad Weekend because

I have the pager and already been paged 3 times since Wednesday. One of my tickets at work will probably require me to work this weekend. My wife and two daughters are all sick, one with cold, others with stomach bug.

Then over a beer I decided

    A) My wife is beautiful
    B) My kids are cute
    C) I get duty pay for the pager on top of salary.
    D) I get more on top of that if I get paged out.
    E) I have a good boss who gives me a day off for carrying the pager even though he doesn't have to.
    F) I have a job

I am drinking a beer. Gonna be a great weekend.

      David,

I totally sympathize with you. Nagios was tripping my cell phone sms messages all night last night. It was really getting on my nerves, especially since I KNEW what was causing it, and couldn't do anything about it as I don't admin the routers...

With the way the economy is looking, those of us still employed should be glad... This is looking awfully 1929 to me...

Are you sure it was only 1 beer? It would take me a few more I think. Great way to look at it though.

humble, yet show responsibility exceptance before. Enjoy another beer and hopefully your weekend will be great. Also hope that your wife and daughters get well soon.

But the question remains. Was the bottle half full or half empty when you were drinking it? I like your attitude, David. I hope you have the same attitude when dealing with my posts.

Things are looking up. My daughters have turned the corner and are getting better. The one case at work I am worried about has been stable for 14hrs after some fixes were applied. Previous record was 3hrs. My daughters and I went to two yard sales this morning and had fun. They came home with free stuff. They usually do, as cute as they are.

Ed, the bottle was almost empty when I started this thread.

I'm glad it's working out for ya David! I'm not gonna have it so easy. This weekend is our states opening for deer hunting and I am not able to this year. Needless to say I'm grouchy and there is not much that will change that. Perhaps later I'll crack open a cold one and contemplate the good things, to early to do so now.
