    Motorcycles and Cigarettes

I saw a guy leaving the gas station this morning on his motorcycle while he was smoking. First question, would the cigarette stay lit at speed? Second question, assuming it did wouldn't the ash blow back in his face?

With a fairing he could. Without one it will.

I hope he was wearing a helmet. Smokers make lousy organ donors, ya know...

I hope he wasn't puffing away while he was filling his tank. The thought of smoking that close to all those fumes gives me the willies. If he wants to blow himself up, that's his choice. I just don't want to be within a hundred yards when he does.

It would stay lit, and it would burn very fast too. Maybe fast enough for the cherry to get long and break off.

I have problems with my smokes in my Camaro on windy days with all the windows down. I couldn't imagine trying to burn a smoke on a bike.

I smoked back in the day when I had a bike...

Yes, it will stay lit, just burn seriously fast.
Yes ash will get back in his face..

I tried it once, and decided it was best to pull over, smoke, then ride...

Now all I smoke is a Cigar on rare occasion, for special events, like Poker games, bachelor parties, new babies, or getting together for drinks with old friends...
