    How was your weekend-Well, mine....

Saturday night I started feeling a little sore along my lower belly. Around 11 pm it was enough that I asked LOML to run me down to the ER. After a number of tests and bloodwork the powers that be( ok, she was a cute looking doctor) felt it best to keep me around until the surgeon could have a look. The surgeon made it in around two this afternoon, spent five minutes poking about, and sent me home with major drugs. I could have told them it was a flare-up of the diverticulitus I had back in June. At least I get to recover at home this time.

I was expecting to read that it was appendicitis. I am glad to hear that you are back home again.

I have always looked at things differently. so glad your back home and it isn't something that needed surgery. AND, be glad it was now, instead of the first night of Dr. Who, since you have waited this long. LOL

      Get well soon my friend.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

glad to see that you can back home to rest instead of being admitted to the hospital for something worse. take some rest, hopefully you will feel better.

I was with Crocket, waiting for a Dx of appendicitis. A bit more than a year ago I took my wife to the hospital where, after six hours of evaluation and a CT they determined that she had run of the mill appendicitis. When the doc came to the waiting area he didn't look good. He said that the CT didn't reveal the extent - perforation, rupture, gangrene and peritonitis. It was pretty scary.

After 4 days of spending tons of quality time with a chain saw, my back finally had enough yesterday and sent me to soak in a hot bath of Epsom salt water... I have yet to get on the roof to get the shingles replaced too... One day at a time I guess...

Well you had a better weekend than my father..
Dr called Wednesday afternoon and told him to get to the Hospital ASAP..
2 days in ICU, 2 in PCU, 2 surgeries, 3 gall stones and gall bladder removed.

              What a weekend.

The magnesium soak is a good idea, db, but you get faster results if you take it orally. Two-hundred to two-hundred fifty milligrams is a common doseage. You can do that every 4 to six hours but if you take too much you'll spend more time in the bathroom. It's also a laxative when you exceed your body's tolerance. Milk of Magnesia is just a concentrated dose of magnesium - aka, epsom salts. Either way, it works for me!

Yeah, the bag says something about that. Never done it that way...

I like to just soak with a Margarita and call it good...

I am actually feeling much better today than I expected, aside from a stiff shoulder, I am good... I keep mentioning it to my Dr. I am going to have to get LOUD about it though. Not sure what the problem is, but I have shoulder trouble something fierce since that last traffic accident...
