The NFL season starts tonight and I can't wait!

I already started with Alabama on Saturday. Yeah, I'm ready.

I'm very psyched about football this year. My beloved skins are playing the Super Bowl champs tonight. But I won't see it 'cause its my fifteenth wedding anniversary. No gettin out of that one.

And really what are the chances I get to watch it on Tivo before I find out who won? Pretty much zero in this town.

Anybody else play Fantasy Football? I have historically been pretty bad at it. Despite trying to read up on players and strategies, I gravitate towards players and teams I like instead of going on stats. That is usually a fatal mistake in Fantasy Football.

Vikings vs. Packers at Lambeau on Monday Night - Should be a great start - if you like Purple

I've lived near Houston for too long to care about Pro Football... But the HS football season will be underway starting next weekend... My neighbor's kid is the starting QB this year, so I better care... He's the same kid that used to mow my lawn!

Vikings vs. Packers at Lambeau on Monday Night - Should be a great start - if you like Purple

The Vikes look to be the far stronger team, and I'd love for them to have a good season after they made some decent off-season moves. But against the Bears or the Packers team strength and/or record isn't the whole story. There's so much background and emotion invoved in each game that upsets seem to be fairly common, and a Monday night Lambeau game just adds to that. I will of course be watching.
