    Food Dependency

Every weekend LOML goes to the grocery store to stock up on food. No matter how I go on about all the fresh game in our back yard, she still prefers to shop for dead packaged stuff.

Anyway, our usual unloading of her trunk involved carrying in many plastic bags to the kitchen. She got a brainstorm a few weeks ago to stop in Pep Boys (because they were in the same plaza) to see if they had trunk storage bags. She came home with a couple of these. Two of those in her trunk holds all of her groceries. Well, she takes one handle, and I grab the other, and in just two trips, all of the bags are in the kitchen.

    Makes it quick and easy.

Yep, been doing this for years with LLBean boat bags. Saves the hassle of plastic/paper and we actually get a bit o discount for supplying our own.
    Good job,

That's a good idea! it also keeps the food from falling out and rolling around in the trunk.
Costco packs everything in cardboard boxes, similar idea and it seems to work well. We switched over to cloth grocery bags and they are much better then paper or plastic. They were $3 each.

Cabman good idea but I just carry all the bags in one trip - no need for any special carry-alls. My wife tells me I can make two trips and I always say "I know I can but I can also make one trip."

LOML bought three, one for each car and a spare one for special shopping trips. I have found is it really is easier for two people to carry these totes when full.

Crockett as I recall you just had a birthday, representing a relatively young age. As those birthdays continue to pile up you may have a differnt attitude. Not that getting older makes you lazy, maybe a little more thoughtful

Maybe. It hasn't happened yet though.

I'm no greenie or anything, but the idea of a reusable, sturdy, stable grocery container like that Vehicle organizer makes perfect sense when we use the pickup to go to the grocery store... Too many times have I had to chase a can of peas out from under the toolbox...
