Yes we would weigh less with less gravity (according to currently calibrated scales) so lets get a bunch of 747s going and I could drop that 10 lbs

Unfortunatley our mass would remain the same so I guess its back to diet and exercise

We can only change so much at a time, so the 10 pound loss is a good start!

Actually since the earths core is more or less fluid, things are a tad more complicated... And IIRC if we stop the core, the magnetic field collapses and radiation would kill us, if the weather and whatever else gets messed up doesn't do that before.
