Let's add this up:
Cost of having fox bite treated in ER: $300 (at least)
Cost of getting rabies vaccine: $2500 (I'm not making this up--it's $500 per each of 5 shots, first dose of immune globulin is about 1-2 tsp of liquid and pretty painful)
Cost of having gunshot wound to leg treated: $1000-3000 (this is a guess depending on whether bone was hit, etc.--if surgery required you can triple or quadruple this; if infection sets in, what's your annual limit on care per your insurance company??)
Cost of being able to hold this over your husband's head for the next 50 years: priceless
