For those who wonder why I've posted in the last couple of days about birthdays, well it's like this; We all get older and each passing year means we need to be more concerned with our fellow members, family, friends, or just any body other than ourselves. Life is too short as it is, and we don't always get the chance to make amends, so I gladly post Happy Birthdays to all you I've missed and all you in the future! So let's remember all the great people on this forum and elsewhere.

Thank you for the mention ....

... sometimes it FEELS like 93 ... but I'm happy to report that since late December I've managed to lose about 55 lbs am getting in an hour of jogging or biking every day and feel MUCH better than I did this time last year (it IS worth the effort!) ... my wife and I are headed out for a two week cruise along the Alaska coast starting tomorrow (flight from San Antonio to Vancouver) ... we expect it to be a ton of fun and have lottsa excursions planned. If you are at all interested you can check our progress on the web log I will be keeping updated as we cruise along at Bade's Alaska cruise (if posting that breaks some rule the moderators are most welcome to delete it)

Glad to hear you feel better today than you did a year ago.

Exercise really does wonders for the body, that is after you get past the first few days of PAIN! Thanks for the tip about checking out your vacation blog. That's a beautiful area up there, so you and your wife enjoy!

Happy birthday, guys! And many more to you. You're right, Bade. Getting older makes you think more of the other folks around you. Some take until they are 50 and others have the gift to learn or realize that fact early in life. I had nephew who touched every life that he dealt with. There were people at his funeral who only knew him via e-mail but he had touched them. I am humbled by his example. Again, blessings and best wishes to you both!
