I'm a bit of a numismitist (sp?) or coin collector. And I'm always seeing ads for $20 commemorative coins by this Mint or that Mint (never the US Mint). Today I saw one for a $20 silver coin certificate in the shape of a dollor bill with the World Trade Center on one side and the $20 denomination being made up of 9 on one side and 11 on the other, for "the face value of only $20". Well, the thing I noticed was that this was not a US currency, but a Republic of Liberia Dollar. Doing a bit of research, the $20 RoL Dollar has the equivalent value of $0.31 round about. I have to call this deceptive marketing on several fronts. What says you guys?
I won't get into the whole , Why is the Republic of Liberia commemorating the 9-11 tragedy (which they simple are refering to as the world trade center tragedy, like the pentagon and Pensylvania planes didn't happen).
