    Cherry Flooring

I have a friend in the Hardwood business, selling flooring and many other things. I called

Him today about My other GrandDaughters bedroom. Of course We had to visit awhile and

then talk came around to flooring and prices. He first told Me that #1 Cherry He would sell

for $2.25 a sq. ft. I told Him My bookkeeper would not pay that much, so We talked Oak

#2 at $1.20 a square foot, but He said You want to get this girl Cherry Flooring don't You?

Of course I said Yes so He said for #1 Cherry He would sell to Me for $1.50 a sq foot. I

think it is a good buy, is it? Bill

Yep, that's a great price, even if it was laminate. I just installed an engineered bamboo floor, which I bought for ~$3.00/sf at HD.

        Bill,

Even in Arkansas $2.25/bf for solid cherry that's been finish milled is a ****ed good deal.

The local guy who sold me his leftover cherry said six years ago he paid $1/bf for raw cherry lumber felled and cut into slabs in Alabama (and about that much again to ship it to California). If I could get it for that price, I'd take a bunch and use it for projects.

        At $1.50, it's a steal.
