Going to miss George. His humor didn't appeal to everyone, but he always made me laugh... and then think.

One of, if not the, best of our times is now gone. To me, most of todays comedians use foul language as a way to augment marginal material. Only 2 could pull it off and make even the most offended bust a gut laughing. Now only Robin Williams remains is in that category.

If you didn't, click on the picture in the link and read the entire article. I think I found a new signature line in the last paragraph:

“I don’t have pet peeves...I have major, psychotic hatreds.”
          George Carlin (1937 - 2008)

He will be missed by many.

I was able to see him perform his standup twice back in the early 90's, extremely funny. His style of comedy was very smart and spot on. He made millions laugh and will be missed.

Very sad. I'd like to add a few words about his passing:

              S***!

              P***!

              G********!

              M***********!

              I feel better now...

I wouold say a few words in his memory, but they would be censored and I'd be banned.

Very sad news... He was one of the most wonderfully twisted individuals I can recall from my youth.

Yes, I was stunned when I heard it on the news this morning.
I loved his stand up, and as some of you may know: he will be missed as Mr. Conductor.

He will be missed. He was surely one of a kind and loved pushing the envelope.

Saw George live a couple of times in the 70s and 80s and always walked away laughing, and thoughtful. I can't think of anyone to quite fill his shoes. Carlos Mencia comes close in his monologues, but not quite George.
