So what did y'all get for dad's day?

I never ask for anything as I always am thankful for the thing s I have that are actually important (My wife, My daughter, my pups, Good health, etc.) so I can never tell y daughter what I would like.

Well, here's what she came up with this year.

That's an excellent gift! We are on our first mother's day/father's day, so we have no clever traditions as of yet. I got an Indiana Jones father's day card though that was pretty neat.

      Very cool idea.

My family was more conventional (a.k.a. a hint we need to do some remodeling)

For Father's Day I got two strapping teenage boys who eat me out of house and home. And a lovely wife.

And that's about all I need, although I have been dropping hints about the clearance PC577 at the BORG...

And I get to stain the deck tomorrow...

My grand daughter who lives in Scotland had the best idea. She suggested that she give something that all could enjoy....a box of chocolates.

Peace and quiet. Was excused from going to church, had worked there all week. Watched the race, nice to see JR. win, would have been better had it finished with out the green, white, checker. Turned a Pen. Going over to BIL later this afternoon for Bar-B-Que and to watch the end of the Basketball season. Gotta great card from Grand Daughter that only she and I and Grandma understand.

It wasn't that long ago I told one of my daughters that I did not want any of them to spend money on me. I told them to put it to use another way. She swore she would tell her brothers and sisters. Well, today I received a new 20" LCD monitor. I really wish they hadn't done that.

BTW, I really like that adopt a wolf idea. A big thumbs up for that one.

An iPod touch here! Even though it was purchased in the US, it allows Japanese input. It imported my Japanese language database as well as English! Calendars as well as contacts are bilingual.

I have nearly 1000 family pictures on it and all I can say is WOW! at the picts.

Only ONE PROBLEM: LOML wants it! The photos of grandkids and family take up far less space than than her hard copies that she carries in her purse.

Best PDA I have EVER had and easy/intuitive to use without a manual - finally!

My three daughters went together to get this!

Well, "we" got a new refrigerator (old one died yesterday) and a new fan/light for the patio (old one died Wednesday) that I just finished putting up. But LOML said I could pick the fridge, so we got a bottom drawer freezer style to replace the old side-by-side. Just what I wanted!

Well I got to talk to my father today. He is 93 years young, and he talked about his "whittlin". He carves small farm scenes or of farmers and their livestock. He has been donating these items to rural farm museums so that they can depict farm life years ago. His brain is very sharp, and he can readily recall stories from his youth. Some are very funny, and some recall local history. I tried looking on my photos on this computer, and I can't find them now.

Anyway they can still get around by car or dad's older sister(she's 97) drives them around. I think it is great having my parents still here. Take care.

My wife invited my Dad and her Step-Dad over for brunch. She cooked up all kinds of food and had quite the spread.

Good food and time with me pop, I got a few other things, but nothing that compares to spending time with me Pop.

                              Bummer,

All I got were clothes, they didn't get me the Rikon table saw I've been drooling over.
