The Memorial Day Threads brought up the subject of gratitude for vets

Memorial Day is about remembering our servicemen and servicewomen who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.

"All gave some, some gave all."

Like Pappy said, Memorial Day is for the fallen (and their families).

That said, we need to honor and offer our thanks to the brave men and women who "gave some"...and do so more than just on Veteran's Day.

A friend on another forum I frequent shared this link the other day - I watched it three times in a row, and a teared up every time. Very powerful stuff -
