A fantastic win by Big Brown, beautiful to watch as he came from 6th to win by 5 lengths. It was sad to end it with the filly Eight Bells going down forever.

Apparently the track was very fast, the filly completed the race in second place but broke both ankles when negotiationg the turn after the end. They had to put her down right there on the track. This following the breakdown of Barbaro in 2006 and his subsequent highly publicized struggle to survive (which he did not).
