    Ax Men on History Channel

I have watched a few episodes of the "Ax Men" on the History Channel. Not sure where all it is going to take us, but for now it's covering logging in Oregon. Check it out, it's really interesting how they get the big logs off of the mountain.

When I saw the title here I thought it was going to be a show about Eric Clapton and other famous rock guitarists. Seriously.

I'm hooked on the show also.

When I was growing up logging was part of the local economy, so seeing loggers and logging trucks/equipment was normal when up in the mountains. Although I have no connection to the logging industry, I know exactly the sounds, smells, and sights of their logging operations. Watching that show brings back memories of being a kid as sort of a side note. That area looks exactly like the area I grew up around. Logging has shut down in that area (southern sierra nevadas) but the mill still operates with out of town logs. They actually haul logs with helicopters in some areas.
