    My New Shop Dog

I took this a few weeks ago and don't think I ever posted it.
This is Murphy and his buddy Appalachia taking a break.

I'll bet the one on the left eats a lot less. Is he a puppy, and what kind?

Murphy is a 2 year old Wire Haired Daschound. Maggie brought him with her and I am happy she did. He has been well trained, spoiled and is happy. He also bonded to me like quick set epoxy.

Despite what Loring said, looks like a GREAT dust mop!!!

I love dogs and cats. LOML doesn't want a dog. Cats don't like the noise. Envy.

That begs the question.....What is Appalachia? Murphy looks like a lover.

A fine looking hound. Sadie (my avatar) doesn't care much for power tools, but since I work out of my basement, she hangs out with me close to 10 hours a day.

Congrats on your new pooch, a real cutie. I just got a new shopdog tonight. A 10 month old Australian Shepherd. He is the cutest thing in the world. Bringing him home he just sat on the console of my truck or slept in the passenger seat. VERY well-behaved and a real sweetheart. He is already playing fetch and within 10 minutes of starting he was already dropping the ball on command. I believe he will shape up to be a real intelligent dog.

I think my avatar should be my shop dog. The picture is several months old and he is quite a bit bigger now.

Nothing like a pet to enrich our lives! Goldie follows me into the shop, but as soon as the noise starts, she's ready to go back in the house.

No joke: I meant - being Australian automatically means he will be intelligent

Hmmmm, that is what they told me he is, but I do not see how what I have could grow up to look like that. No worries though. He is an adoption from the humane society so I knew he was a mutt. But as adorable as can be and extremely intelligent. They said the mother was the Australian Shepherd and thought the father was also. C'est la vie. I like him no matter his lineage. I will try to post a pic soon.

Found the pic from the Humane Society we adopted him from.
