    Who is this Group??

This group is a bunch of women playing strings. Music is rather fast paced almost classical. I've seen them in XXX- State of the Union, at the cocktail party scene.

Every time I find that movie while surfing I just have to watch hoping to catch the music. The rest of the movie is good too.

    You gave no link.
    Bond, perhaps?
Young 20-something women, playing classical acoustic violins, violas, cellos and sometimes electric ones. Classical Music to a fast pop beat. Have made commercials for pricey French or Swiss watches, etc.

This is a Bond music video:

Went to imdb and pulled the film, all four are listed but I picked the first one. Then went and googled her name. Yep, it's bond. I have one of there CD's, great music.

Thanks Loring! That be the group. I could sit and listen to them for hours. LOML thought they had "light" in their name hence my inability to find it.

Wow -- pretty cool. My list of wildly attractive female violinists is getting longer by the day. (Lara St. John - mostly baroque & pure genius, Mairead Nesbitt - Irish, Martie Maguire, Lucia Micarelli, Alison Krauss...) Great stuff!

Have quite a few of their songs on the ipod. Love their take on the classics. Here's a little tip though... Don't listen to them while cutting (I have headphones I use a lot during projects), my feet won't stand still so I have to wait for the song to end.

ooh, yeah, girl violinists are sexy.

You need to look at Vanessa Mae...

                      and a bunch more.
Much better than Bond (musically, also I think more mature-looking)

And I love the Corrs, ever give them a listen- not really classical more like Irish traditional/contemporary with some violining thrown in. Here's one with Sharon (one of the four Corrs - 3 sisters and one brother) doing some fiddling and Andrea singing and Caroline drumming:

Maybe someone can tell me what the brother-what's his name- does.

                      Anybody love girl drummers?

Yeah he likes to blame things on....well I won't say too much. Thanks for getting us the right group he was looking for. Because I think I am going to buy a CD or two of theirs, because I know that I can put that in at work and stay motivated and awake for the whole night.

Thanks for plugging us in, Loring. Very nice stuff. I seldom buy CDs but they are both on the short list!

An aside question. On the youtube vids there are URL and an Embed links. What are their respective uses?

Not Bad. I can't look at the youtube vids at work (they now block streaming video sites), but I was able to find 2 used CDs on Amazon Market Place for a total of $13 shipped. Listened to the 30 second clips that Amazon has, and figured if I don't like the full songs I'm not out much.
