Young, brave and stupid. Isn't that redundant?

I thought I was a fairly wild and crazy gut back in my youth, but the stuff today's kids come up with?

      Brave?

      Cocky perhaps, but not brave:
Bravery implies something that we don't have here...
A willingness to risk something for something good,
for someone else's benefit with disregard for one's own safety and well being.

I'm sure those idiots had a willingness to risk something for something good ... their own, so "brave" may apply to them. If it's the use of the word "brave" that is of question, I think the real point is being missed. Is "bold" or "gutsy" better?

          Dumb and dumber.

Kids are no more and no less stupid now than when they were my age. The big difference is the speed with which stories travel.
