Had boiled dinner at Sis's last night. She even offered a sip of Jameson!

I'm going to be getting together with my other two siblings in Ireland next month. We'll be on a sacred mission to commit my mother's ashes to the Cliffs of Mohrer.

I went the same route. Probably my favorite sandwich.

I love corn beef and cabbage. I'm away from home traveling for business though, so i have to wait another year for it.

Yep, had the full deal yesterday and enough left for a sandwich today. Will also be checking the meat markets for their "leftovers" for some bargains and will probably have it again several times this spring. Go-ood!!!

Had ours for supper and plenty left over for lunch and another supper - probably a sandwich or two, too (I love English). By morning the bedroom will be a bit ripe - he hee!

Man, that was good. I even had a midnight snack of it last night and now I can't wait for lunch!

My wife had heard someone suggest using chicken broth instead of water for the liquid so we tried that. Just loaded the crock-pot with the corned beef, wedges of cabbage, onion, garlic cloves, a couple bay leaves and a few cloves, then added chicken broth to cover. Left it on high for about 8 hours, then on medium the last 2 or so.

The chicken broth made a great addition. It didn't taste like chicken at all - just really, really good. Normally I love the corned beef and eat a bit of of the cabbage because it is there. This time I actually ate more of the cabbage than beef!

                Is it lunch time yet?
