    Elephant Picture

Jake is five years old and learning to read. He points at a picture in a zoo book and says,

"Look, Mama! It's a frickin' elephant!"

Deep breath ... "What did you call it?"

    "It's a frickin' elephant, Mama!

It says so on the picture!" and so it does ...

    "A f r i c a n Elephant."

Hooked on phonics! Ain't it wonderful

I agree, it is funny, but probably true. Bill

Sad, but probably true about the phonics. Joke was funny though.

        Here's an oldie.

Janey and Johnny come down for breakfast. They've been upstairs expanding their "vocabulary".

Mom say sweetly, "What would you like for breakfast, Johnny?"

Johnny: "Gimme some of those frickin' corn flakes".

Bam! Mom backhands him accross the room.

Mom: "Do you know what you'd like, Janey?"

Janey: "No, but I'll pass on the frickin' corn flakes, though."
