    Proper form?

I am a member of another forum as well as this one. both deal with woodworking but different skill sets.. Is it permissible to pose the same question / idea on both forums at the same tyme?
I know you have heard of computer illiterate but in my case I am computer stupid.
    Regards,

That does broaden your chances of getting the most desirable answer to a particular situation.
It is less than good ettiquette to do so in the same forum under different topics, but also acceptable if the question does indeed span both categories. Again this would increase the number of eyes on and the chances of the best answer.

Since we don't know what other forum you're referring to, you'll have to post it here.

I did this recently when trying to find out about a tool. I was time limited and needed a fairly quick response to give the get or don't get question, answered.

In general, I try not to, but if your trying for most number of opinions, or time is of the essence, then go ahead.

And if you get a good answer, post a link to the other board.

I remember one time when I had a car problem. I posted here and on an automotive forum. I still haven't got an answer on the automotive forum, but I got very good suggestions here. I guess I would think about it like asking a friend. If you have a question, you would probably ask several friends, so why not friendly forums.
