let me put it this way, if the newspaper did not answer my news-related questions then they would not sell any more papers to me. Oh, they don't, anyway, I read all my news on the internet.

Here here Dylon, you beat me to the punch. Not everyone regard stripping as an evil horrible thing. I personally don't get strip clubs, but I've had some stripper friends, and some were quite content taking money from guys. Many feel empowered doing so. Of course there are also the stripper horror stories. Regardless, I think there is an implied moral if the newspaper's are trying to use "stripper" as a shock tactic in regards to the story.

I also agree that the job may well be irrelevant, unless she used her magic stripper powers on the guy who committed the crime, then it IS relevant. Much like when a teacher molests a kid, or any other person in a power position of authority. Attacking unrelated aspects of a person's life works well in court, under the guise of attacking credibility. People LOVE to feel superior to other people.

        in my opinion......

The selling point to the newspaper game is, bad news is all that makes the front page (headlines)and that is, what sells newspapers for them!

Good news doesn't ever make the front page anymore.

I'm just playing the odds. I think the large percentage of people would be embarrased by that. Are there any members on this site that would not be?

Fair enough. But if you didn't ask what her profession was (which you probably wouldnt'), you wouldn't cancel your subscription.
