Craftsman BT3100? Looks like a good deal...

I am going to try to check this out if it is still available (it may be since it is posted under clothing):

    http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/clo/548889626.html

It is the old 3100 equivalent right? Anyway for $100 I think I should grab it for my first TS, anything to watch out for?

    Thanks,

    Steve

If it runs, that's a good deal. Unplug the saw, then grab the blade and see if it wobbles. Then turn it by hand and see if it turns square (no runout). Make sure the elevation and tilt adjustments move smoothly, and that the SMT (miter table) slides smoothly. Make sure the rip fence grabs properly at both ends when locked down. Run the saw, and make sure the speed stays constant, and that there are no odd smells or sounds. When turned off, make sure the blade runs on smoothly for a few seconds without grinding to a halt.

I'm pretty sure its the Craftsman 22811, not a BT3100 but a BT3000, slightly earlier model.

It is sold. I think that is the kind of deal I'm looking for though.
