Who Has The Smallest One?..A CONTEST!!

Here's your chance to have braggin' rights for the first time on any forum, AFIK. A grand prize will be sent to the winner! Go get your smallest tape measure, and submit a picture with a credible showing of how small it really is.

The tape measure can be of any make, and can be of the novelty type, like an advertising novelty.

Below the picture are the official CONTEST RULES.

Here is my submission: It is 2" wide, 1 3/4" high, and 3/8" thick.
    .

    .

    OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

    1. The tape measure has to be encased, material is unimportant.
    2. The tape measure has to be of the retractable type.
    3. The tape measure must have a hook on the end.
    4. As a minimum length 6' will be accepted.
    5. A submission must include a picture with the size clearly shown. Using another form of measure to show the tapes dimension will qualify the submission as accurate.
    6. A ruler showing only the width, will suffice, and you will be trusted for telling the truth on the rest.
    7. Include all the dimensions in inches or fraction thereof of the height, width, and thickness.
    8. The contest and judging will be open to all members.
    9. In the event of a tie, or ties, the winner(s) can PM me their mailing address to receive their prize.

Sorry - mine is much bigger...

And that holds for my tape measure too...

According to the official rules, 6' is OK. Bring it on!

Are we going by cubic inches? Is it a volume that we're using?

It could be determined that way. For that method, mine is 1.3125 cu. inches.
I'm sure you guys can beat that. If you don't, this contest will look fixed.

I've got an old promo 6-footer around here somewhere that will probably be right in there, but I may not have a chance to find it before you close this thing down (primarily because I have no idea where it is...).

We're all waitin' on ya. This is a once in a lifetime chance for a title like this. I wonder if the Guinness Book has this category?

My favorite little tape is a 10ft (!!!) Stanley in a 1.75" square, 3/8 thick metal case. It is actually my wife's, and came (many years ago) in a small tool kit. If they were available I'd buy a few, it is very handy and with 10ft quite capable.

                  Edit:

Had a crazy week, finally found some time to take some snaps:

Obviously I think volume should be divided bu the length of the tape... Otherwise this one doesn't stand a chance against the 3' dwarfs.

Losing this contest wouldn't be as demoralizing. Where is your entry?

Thanks Cman. Here it is and it's a squeeker size wise. I actually use this thing when I go shopping and LOML has been using it when she's knitting. I don't worry that I might lose it so that's probably why I still have it. It's more than 15 years old and maybe as much as 20. The numbers on the inch scale for the first 11" are almost wore off. The cm's are still in good shape and useable. The size is 1 13/16 x 1 3/4 x 13/32 and the tape is 73" long by 1/4" wide. 1.288732812 Cu. in. Made in Mexico.
