    USMC Drill Team

Be sure to watch this past the 3 minute mark...that's when it goes
    from fantastic to spectacular.

Here's a link to the performance of the US Marine Drill Team at a
    Recent Denver Nuggets Basketball game.

It almost makes your hair stand on end.

For those of you who have spent some time in the Military ... this
Platoon performance makes you almost want to cry .... knowing the
discipline and practice time it takes to execute a military drill with
    arms routine flawlessly.

Very impressive. To be part of a team like that is an honor that is earned.

During the summer there are performances with the Marine Corps Band scheduled at the Marine Memorial in DC. The back drop makes it all the more impressive!

Beautiful they have it down. The Bayonets are sharp, my Nephew showed me when he in the Corps and was part of a drill team. In 1964 while in Basic Training with the Army my Platoon Sgt. who had been with the Honor Guard at Arlington taught us what was then called the Manual of Arms. We did this after hours as a recreation and a way to build team spirit. It wasn't as complicated and the Marines but it was fun and did what it was intended to do. I watched some of other videos that are on that page all great .

                Ahhh... the memories

That brings back sooo many memories..I retired from the Navy in 2005. One of the commands I was stationed at (Mare Island, Vallejo CA) had a Precision Drill Team that I was on from '83-'84 and '89-'91.

A video of one of the practice sessions in '93 is here:
                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoFm_6K2j7Q .

It's a little long at 10 mins, but you can imagine us Sailors in our Dress whites crackerjacks, marching in any number of parades in the Northern CA area.

...and yes, our bayonets were real, too. Those Marines in the previous video executed that demonstration flawlessly. They have every right to be proud of themselves, they look amazing.
