    Hi all,

I just joined a day or so ago and wanted to say hi. I haven't posted anything yet b/c I don't seem to have anything intelligent to add. Perhaps I'll think of something!

I'm a weekend and sometimes evening woodworker, when I have time, so I'm in this for the fun. My day job has to do with software development in different types of products like sensors, aircraft engines, flight actuators, stuff like that.

Many many years ago I was into woodworking, but life got in the way and just in the last few years I've returned to it. I'm taking a sort of hybrid approach mixing galooting and electron burning. I'm in the process of rebuilding a workshop in my basement and going through the tool acquisition thing. It seems much more expensive now than when I was younger.

Anyway, I'm starting to babble! Glad to be here, see you around the coffee pot!

    Regards, Steve

Hello all; Washington state resident with lots stuff. [STUFF COLLECTOR] Started doing construction work with my father for pay in 1959. Got my journeyman carpenter card in 1970, one year after my first contractors license. Have tried a hundred things since with the same results each time. I am always looking to learn something else. I will be 60 next May and think I might wear out before I learn as much as I would like. Lately I am noticing that I have forgotten more than I can remember. To date this is quite a site to visit. Thank you one and all.

I enjoy the posts and happy that the forum is here.
Definitely has helped me with all kinds of things, from tool reviews to techniques.

Thanks to all the moderators that keep the decorum friendly and light.

Best wishes to all for a happy and healthy holiday season.
