I'm here, and very much the newbie lurker, even though I've been a "member" since 2003. Still chugging along with my BT3100, making a few odds and ends here and there. Thinking about splurging on a WWII 30T blade. I keep on hearing how great it is and I've got a nice stack of maple I need to rip into strips for a cutting board project for the LOML.

    Down here in Florida

Alive and kicking. Just about every day I get on BT3Central checking out all that I can. Love the "around the coffee pot". Many interesting subjects come up here! Have thought about posting several times, but I see others have beat me to the punch with ideas that I may have had, oh well life goes on and I still enjoy reading the posts.

    Been out of touch

Well, it's been heath issues for me, on the short side of the double-nickel. Did a head-surgery thing, no cancer or tumors, but had to go in and repair some holes in my skull. I needed surgery like I needed a hole in the head, right? And what do they have to do to fix the hole? Make a bigger one. Riiiiight.

Anyway, all healed up, and now, (miracle doc, thank you) I can hear again out of my right ear as well as I did twenty years ago. So I'm a happy guy.

Let's see what else. Well we did a giant patio project which ate all funding for things like Garage projects, but this year I got a little money set aside and gutted the garage back to the studs. Ran a 75A 220 line across from our new service panel to the other side (where my gear goes), fully insulated the stud walls, sheetrocked everything, blew new R40 into the attic above, and ran a 3/4" copper air line across the attic so I can remote the air compressor when I'm doing automotive on the other end of the room.

Next in sight, build the main work surface, an 8' piece of Norm Abram's wonderful 14' cutting bench he built for his chop saw. Then onto installing the DC and building my mobile base and router table. Should be much easier once I have that torsion box work table and a bench!
