My daughter and her family were saying their prayers the other night and my daughter thanked God for giving them a warm place to sleep. After they were finished my 5 year old grandson Lance asked why she thanked God for a warm place to sleep. She explained to him that a lot of people were homeless and didn't have a warm place to sleep or even a blanket to cover up with. The next day they were on their way to Target's to let my grandson buy him a PSP game he wanted with a gift card one of their friends gave him for Christmas. He asked how much money was the gift card and how many blankets he could buy with it. My daughter told him he could buy the game he wanted and have enough left over to buy a few blankets. He replied " I don't want to buy the game. I want to use all off it to buy blankets for the homeless people so they can be warm like us. They need the blankets more than I need the game. " He is precious.

You have a Grandson to be proud of, but I bet you already knew that.

Great story. I have a grandson who is 17 now. He's always had a lot of compassion for others, too.
