    Wireless HD

Interesting article. Wireless for HD. I can see why they want to limit the range of the signal but it would mean you need a box in every room

I saw the Wireless HD and thought it was a reference to a wireless Hard Drive. Would give a whole new meaning/problem to the file sharing issue. (I know of things like the Linksys Nat box, but I haven't seen any small enough for just one drive yet, but I haven't looked).
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

It seems that buy.com has what you are talking about -- a remote access storage system that can be accessed even if the local computer is turned off. It is a WD 1 TB external hard drive with a built-in ethernet connection.

Loring, this is a little different. It would replace the wires connecting, say, your DVD player to the TV. Or maybe a video game console. Or some other component. That way the TV could be on the ceiling, or on the wall or wherever and the components could be in a closet.
